This product replaces the factory intake tube with a higher flow, larger diameter tube. It flows more so you will get more of that wanted turbo whistle! It is rare but it can set a check engine light. Getting a tune is highly recommended for more reasons than just avoiding the chance of getting a CEL. It is the best bang for the buck.
